Brentwood Bay Heritage House, located only minutesfrom the famous Click to go to the Butchart Gardens websiteButchart Gardens, was built in 1912 and is believed to have been designed by Samuel McClure, one of Victoria's most notable architects. The characteristics of his buildings are the expansive roof with large front gables and bracketing finials, stone base and tapering columns to the roof-line.

The Brentwood RoomThe house has beautiful stained glass accents throughout. The Brentwood Room even has stained glass accents over the bed. The stain glass lends character and charm throughout the house.

Evalyn Hardy, hostess at the Heritage HouseThe house was purchased in 1974 by Evelyn Hardy and her family. They had been searching Brentwood Bay for a suitable home for a family of four, without any success. Evelyn was passing 7247 West Saanich Rd when something told her to go knock on the front door, even though there was no "For Sale" sign on the property. The owner, without any introductions, began to show Evelyn the house, as if it were going to be purchased. Evelyn had never previously met anyone from this family, and it is because of this experience that Evelyn knew this house was special.

A view of the rear of the Heritage HouseSince purchasing the beautiful heritage house, Evelyn had carefully and lovingly performed various renovations to the property. The Bed & Breakfast is her pride and joy. She looks forward to personally welcoming you to your home away from home.
